To unpin a Control rig effector, select the effector you want to unpin, then disable the Pin Translation, Pin Rotation, or both options by using the buttons on the Character Controls toolbar.
You can also use the Release Children PIns button on the Character Controls toolbar, or keyboard shortcuts to toggle pinning (see the Pinning Keyboard Shortcuts section in Pinning Keyboard Shortcuts).
