Tutorial T4: Set Up the Model

1. Start Autodesk Inventor Nastran.
2. From Open navigate to the C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Autodesk\Inventor Nastran 2025\Tutorial\en-us\Inventor 2025 folder and open propeller.ipt.
3. Click File, Save As and save the part as Normal Modes Propeller.ipt. This allows you to reuse the original part.
4. Click Environments > Autodesk Inventor Nastran.
   
   Go to Tools > Document Settings > Units. Set the units to inch and lbmass (pound). They will become the Default units.
5. Or, double-click Units in the Part tree and select a Unit System with units set to inches and pounds.
   
   
6. Click OK.
