Use digitised curves to guide marking out a clay model.
Digitised curves or curves from the wireframes and surfaces of a CAD model can be guides for marking-out a clay model.
Mark-out points
- Right-click a Digitised Curve item or Curve from CAD Section item in the inspection sequence.
- Choose

- Click Marking Out Points
.
A Curve from CAD Section item must be split into points to select mark-out points.
- Click a sphere on the curve or an entry in the list to select the point you want to mark.
- To display the position of the blade, double-click the read-out.
- Move the blade towards the mark-out point.
- When the indicator bars change to green, mark the point and click
to select the next point on the curve.
- Repeat steps 4 to 7 for each point you want to mark.
- To continue marking out, select another entry in the Active Curve list.
Note: To automatically select mark-out points, select Automatic

. When the blade is within the tolerance zone of the point, PowerInspect automatically advances to the next point ready for you to mark.
Mark-out curves

- Select Marking Out Curve

- Move the blade towards the curve.
- When the bars turn green, mark the curve.
- To continue marking out after you finish marking the curve, select another entry in the Active Curve list.
