To create a custom probe body or stylus

Set up a probe body or a stylus that is not listed in the probe database catalogue.

1. In the Machine tab, open a probe area and click New.
2. In the Probe Tool Assembly dialog, select Probe bodies or Styli in the Available probe tool parts list.
3. Click Create custom part.
4. In the Create Custom Part dialog, enter a Name for the part.
5. Enter the Length and Diameter of the part.
6. If you are creating a stylus, enter the Stem diameter of the part.
7. If you want to create a cylindrical stylus, select the Cylindric check box, and enter the Cylinder height.
8. Click OK to save the part and add it to the probe tool assembly.
