To transform Digitised Curve items

Rotate, translate, mirror, and scale the selected Digitised Curve item

  1. Right-click the item in the inspection sequence and choose Transform Item.
  2. In the Transformation dialog, for Coordinate System, select the alignment or datum relative to which you want to specify the transformation.
  3. Specify the transformations to apply to the item:
    • Rotation. Rotates the item around a specified axis.
    • Translation. Moves the item along a specified axis.
    • Mirror. Creates a mirror image of the item in a specified plane.
    • Scale. Resizes the item by a specified multiplier.
    • Delete. Deletes the selected transformation.
    • Edit. Updates the selected transformation.
    • Test. Compares transformed coordinates with the original coordinates.
    • Save. Saves the transformations to file.
    • Load. Load a previously saved transformation and apply it to the selected item.

Select Invert Matrix to invert the values of the transformation. For example, inverting a transformation that has a scaling of 2 and a rotation of 30 degrees about X produces a scaling of 0.5 and a rotation of -30 degrees about X.

  4. Choose how to apply the transformation:
    • New Copy. Applies the transformation to a copy of the selected item and leave the original item unchanged.
    • This Instance. Applies the transformation to the selected item.
