Continuous Lasso

Use the Manage tab > Selection panel > Select > Continuous Lasso option to select individual triangles on the model.

1. Select the mesh.
2. Click Mesh Tools tab > Selection panel > Select > Continuous Lasso.
3. Click the start point on the model:

   

4. Click the model to create points to anchor the lasso. The lasso links the anchor points with straight lines:

   

   Tip: To delete the last anchor point from the lasso, press Ctrl as you click anywhere on the model.
5. When the lasso line encloses the entities you want to select, click the starting point to create a closed polygon.

   The selection polygon is projected down the current view to select all entities under the polygon:

   

Note: When using the lasso to select triangles, only part of the triangle must be under the polygon to be selected.
