View tab > Appearance panel > Shade > Transparent Wireframe

Select the Transparent Wireframe option to display the wireframe, and to apply shading and lighting effects so objects appear transparent.

To use the Transparent Wireframe option:

  1. Display the surfaces and solids you want to shade.
  2. Select View tab > Appearance panel > Shade > Transparent Wireframe. For example:

You can also use the Transparent Wireframe button on the Views toolbar.
