You can import and export models to and from PowerShape. When importing from or exporting to other software, PowerShape uses in-built data translators. In cases where model data is not compatible with these translators, PowerShape uses Autodesk Manufacturing Data Exchange Utility, a stand-alone program which can translate a larger number of data types.
Autodesk Manufacturing Data Exchange Utility is linked to PowerShape to allow you to convert data, but it can also be used on its own.
