Filters options

Use the Filters page of the Options dialog to specify the filters used in such commands as File > Open > Model.

  1. Click File > Options > Application Options > File > Filters.
  2. Specify the default characters used by the filter controls in commands such as File > Open > Model, when wild carding single (Single wild) or multiple (Multi wild) characters.

These characters are used by filters to reduce lists so they show only the files similar to the one(s) you are looking for.

The default wild card characters are the same as used by UNIX operating systems, but if you want to change them, just click in the text box and type a new character.

  3. If required, click Reset to restore the PowerShape defaults as shown.
  4. Use the Pattern option to store a character string as a preset filter.

If you regularly use the same filter string, this option saves the need to retype it each time.

  5. If required, click Clear to empty the Pattern text box.
