To Work with Annotations
Annotate a component or line
On the ribbon, click Home tab
P&ID panel
P&ID Annotate.
In the drawing area, click the component or line you want to annotate.
In the Assign Tag dialog box, enter the tagging data. Click OK.
Select an annotation type.
The annotation choices displayed depend on the component or line you select.
If prompted, click in the drawing to place the annotation.
Convert a linked annotation into a freestanding annotation
In the drawing, right-click the linked annotation.
Clear the Moves with Parent check box to turn off the linking behavior.
Convert a freestanding annotation into a linked annotation
In the drawing, right-click the freestanding annotation.
Click Moves with Parent.
Move an annotation from its parent component or line
In the drawing, right-click the annotation you want to move.
Click Place from Parent.
Move and place the annotation in the drawing.
Edit an annotation
In the drawing, right-click the annotation you want to edit, and click Edit.
In the Edit Annotation dialog box, modify the annotation data, and click OK.
Hide empty values and trailing delimiters
In the Project Setup tree view, expand P&ID DWG Settings.
Click Display Settings.
Under P&ID Annotations, select the Hide empty values and trailing delimiters option.
