Open a project drawing
- In the Project Manager tree view, right-click a drawing. Click Open.
View a project drawing in read-only mode
- In the Project Manager tree view, right-click a drawing. Click Open Read-Only.
Preview drawings in the Project Manager
- In the Project Manager tree view, click the drawing you want to preview.
- In the Project Manager, on the bottom toolbar, click Preview.
Rename a drawing
Note: Renaming breaks all external references to a drawing.
- In the Project Manager tree view, close the drawing or drawings you want to rename.
- Right-click the drawing. Click Rename Drawing.
- In the Rename DWG dialog box, do one of the following:
- If the file name was originally set up to adhere to a specific format, enter your changes into the labeled boxes presented or select the Override check box and, in the File Name box, enter a new file name.
- If the file name has no special formatting, in the File Name box, enter the new file name.
Create a new project drawing
- In the Project Manager tree view, click a destination folder (for example, P&ID Drawings).
- Click New Drawing.
- In the File Name box, enter a name.
- Click OK.
- (Optional) In the Project Manager tree view, locate and right-click the drawing you created. Click Properties. In the Drawing Properties dialog box, do the following:
- In the DWG Number box, enter a drawing number.
- In the Area box, enter the plant area documented in this drawing.
- In the Description box, enter a description of the drawing.
Move a drawing in a project
- In the Project Manager tree view, click a drawing and drag it to a new location in the tree hierarchy.
A long bar bounded on either end by arrows indicates the insertion location.
- Release the button to place the drawing.
Save a single project drawing
- In the Project Manager tree view, click a drawing. Press Ctrl+S.
Save all drawings in a project
- In the Project Manager tree view, right-click a project and click Resave All Project Drawings.
Remove a drawing from a project
- In the Project Manager tree view, right-click the drawing you want to remove. Click Remove Drawing.
- To confirm the removal, in the Remove Drawings From Project message, select Remove the Drawing from this Project.
The drawing is removed from the project tree and it is saved to the Project Recycle Bin in your project directory. The filename is appended with a suffix with the following format:
filename_username_yymmdd_hhmmss .extension
- username = your Windows Username
- yymmdd = Date
- hhmmss = Time
Note: To retrieve the deleted drawing, click Open Project Recycle Bin.
