Specify Line Weights

Use the Line Weights dialog to define line weights for model lines, perspective lines, and annotation lines.

  1. Click Manage tabSettings panel Additional Settings drop-down (Line Weights).
  2. In the Line Weights dialog, click the Model Line Weights, Perspective Line Weights, or Annotation Line Weights tab.
  3. Click a cell in the table and enter a value.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Use the Object Styles dialog to apply these line weights to element categories, such as walls and tags.
  6. Model line weights are associated to a scale. The width of a particular line weight can change as the scale changes. Typically, the width of the line weight will get larger as the scale increases. The Model line weight table has scales associated to line weights. The width used for a particular line weight will be applied to the associated scale and larger scales until the next range is reached.

For example, line weight 5 at 1:100 scale is assigned a width of .5mm, and at 1:50 scale is assigned a width of .7mm. Any lines using line weight 5 will be printed at .5mm for all scales from 1:100 to 1:51. Once the scale of the view is 1:50, the lines using line weight 5 will be printed .7mm. Additional scales can be added to the table for additional line weight control.
