When creating an energy family parameter, specify the parameter type in the Parameter Properties dialog.
In the Family Editor, click Create tab

| Coefficient of Heat Transfer | Rate of heat transfer between two objects or materials per unit area and unit of temperature difference. |
| Thermal Resistance | Rate at which an object or material resists heat flow per unit length and unit of temperature difference. |
| Thermal Mass | Ratio of heat added to an object or material and the resulting temperature change. |
| Thermal Conductivity | Rate at which an object or material conducts heat flow per unit length and unit of temperature difference. |
| Specific Heat | Amount of heat required to raise the temperature of an object or material by one unit of temperature per unit of mass and unit of temperature difference. |
| Specific Heat of Vaporization | Amount of heat required to change the state of a material from liquid to gas per unit of mass. |
| Permeability | Rate of moisture transfer between two objects or materials per unit area and per unit of pressure. |
