Before using Batch Print, change the computer’s default printer and preferences as required to print the drawings.
Batch Print always prints to the computer’s default printer using the default printing preferences.
Note: Do not use a virtual printer (such as a PDF writer) as the default printer for a Revit batch print job. Batch Print is designed to run unattended. However, many virtual printers ask for file names and locations for the new files, requiring user input. For other virtual printers, the print jobs may fail or generate errors.
To set the default printer and printing preferences
- To set the default printer, from the Control PanelHardware and SoundDevices and Printers, right-click the desired printer, and then click Set as Default Printer.
This option is not available if the selected printer is already set as the default.
- Set printing preferences as follows:
- In the Devices and Printers window, right-click the default printer, and click Printing Preferences.
- In the Printing Preferences dialog, configure the printing options as desired, and click OK.
For information about available printing options, refer to the printer documentation.
