The Space Naming tool assigns the names and numbers from architectural rooms to MEP spaces used for building performance analysis. Project-specific names from the architectural model are assigned to the spaces in the MEP model.
The default settings allow you to rename or renumber all spaces on all levels in the model. Alternatively, you can rename only or renumber only. You can also select specific levels to update.

To assign names from architectural rooms to MEP spaces
- Open the MEP model containing the spaces you want to rename or renumber.
- Click Analyze tab
Spaces & Zones panel
(Space Naming).
- In the Space Naming dialog, specify an option to assign names and numbers, names only, or numbers only.
- Select all levels or specific levels.
- Click OK.
