2D extents can be adjusted to modify the visibility of a datum for all views or a single selected view.
By adjusting 3D extents, you can determine how datums appear across all views. For example, if you adjusted a 3D datum extent in a floor plan view, the modifications made to that datum extent will be visible when viewing the model using a 3D view as well.
