Annotation

Learn how to create and place annotations in VRED.

Video captions: Open the menu item, Interaction, and select Annotation. With annotations, you can create notes in your scene, and with them, mark certain areas or geometries. Create a new annotation, via the plus symbol. Position the annotation with the help of Shift and the left mouse button and navigate to the desired location.

In the Annotations section, you can get the information on the coordinates for the set annotations and the node name with the associated description. Enter desired text under Description. Create further annotations with the aid of the plus symbols and name them respectively. Positioned annotations can be repositioned with the help of the flag symbol. To do so, you first select the flag symbol, and then reposition your annotation with the help of Shift and the left mouse button.

Under Appearance, you can alter the appearance of the annotation. Show Annotations handles if annotations should be displayed or not. Label Color defines the color of the annotation. Label Size controls the size. Via Scaling, you can change the behavior of the sizes in relation to the camera distance. With Off, you always retain the same size. If Near or Far is selected, the size changes corresponding to the distance of the camera.
