Administrators can grant users access to a vault, create and assign roles, and create user groups.
The Global Settings Security tab contains options for granting user access to a vault and assigning user permissions. You can also create groups of users as well as assign access privileges and roles to the groups. The roles assigned to a user or group define the permissions of the user or members of the group.
Access
Users and Groups
User and Group accounts are created and administered in the User and Group Management dialog box. You can create a new user or group profile or edit an existing user or group profile.
A vault server user account can be created automatically when a Windows user that is a member of an Active Directory group with access to the vault server logs into an Autodesk data management client using Windows authentication. This option is on by default.
Enforce Password Policy
Enable the Enforce password policy check box for added security. This will help prevent unauthorized access and protect against potential security breaches.
Click Configure to set the password policy settings. A password policy ensures that users create strong and complex passwords, as per the configured parameters. See Configure Password Policy.
Roles and Permissions
Roles are created and administered in the Role Management dialog. You can view the permissions assigned to a role when you create, copy, or edit a role.
