Use Display Name Template to populate the display name field for all Windows user accounts. You can use custom text and Active Directory (ad) attributes to insert in the template.
To create a display name template:
Select Tools > Administration > Global Settings.
In the Global Settings dialog box, select the Security tab, and then click Manage Access.
In the User and Group Management dialog box, select the Users tab.
Click Actions > Display Name Template. The Display Name Template for Windows Accounts dialog displays.
Enter your template in the description field. You can include custom text in the template along with the ad attributes.
Verify your template in the Preview field.
By default, the template applies to new Windows-authenticated users upon login as well as new users added via import/update of Windows users and groups. Select the checkbox to apply the template to all existing Windows-authenticated users.
Click OK to save the template.
Click the Refresh button to populate changes across different User and Group Management tabs.
To update the display name for a single user:
To update the display name for multiple users:
Export the user profile information in an excel format.
Modify the display name in the exported excel file.
Import the user updates to vault.
Click the Refresh button to populate changes across different User and Group Management tabs.
The user display name field in vault will now reflect the updated display name.
