By default, item properties are written back to the associated file from Vault add-ins, Vault Client, and the Job Processor.
Item properties take precedence over file properties and file mappings. If the file's properties are edited and properties are synchronized, the item properties will overwrite the file properties.
Allow user to assign category when creating a new item–When selected, users are able to assign a category to an item when the item is created. This option is on by default.
Break file links from items based on Equivalence Value during item update–When selected, Vault automatically breaks the link between an item and a file if the equivalence values do not match during an Update of the item.
This setting is off by default.
