Perform a Quick Checkout with the Microsoft Office Vault Add-in
Check out the latest version of a file in a vault with the Microsoft Office Vault Add-in.
Note: The Check Out command is only available if the selected file is the latest version or if the file has been edited out of turn. To Check Out the specific revision of a file, use the
Get Revision command.
Click Check Out on the Vault ribbon.
The latest version of the file in the Vault is checked out to you.
If the version you have open is newer than the version in the vault, you are asked if you want to overwrite the currently open version.
Tip: Use the Vault client or Vault Office client to see who has a file checked out. This information can be obtained from the User Name column.
