Autoloader–Select Data Source

Specify a folder to upload to a vault on the Select Data Source screen.

1. Click Select Folder.

2. In the Browse for Folder dialog, locate and select the folder containing the data to add to the vault, and then click OK.

   If the selected folder contains an Inventor file, Autoloader searches for all possible .ipj files. If multiple .ipj files are found, the Select Project dialog is displayed and you are prompted to select the .ipj file corresponding to the data you want to upload. If the project file is not listed, click Browse and then locate the .ipj file. Once the correct .ipj has been selected, click OK.

   Note: Only one folder can be uploaded at a time. If a folder has already been selected as a data source, you are prompted to decide whether or not the new folder replaces the existing folder as the data source.

3. The Select Data Source screen displays the folder structure of the selected project as well as the associated files. Files and folders can be selectively excluded from list of source files to be uploaded. The actual data is not impacted by Autoloader. Excluding either a file or a folder from the data source list only removes the item from the list. The actual files are not deleted.

   • To exclude a folder in the data source from being uploaded, select the folder and then click Exclude from Upload in the tool bar or right-click the folder and then select Exclude from Upload. You are prompted to verify removing the selected folder and its contents. Click Yes to remove the folder from the list. This prevents the folder from being uploaded to the vault. It does not affect the actual source data.
   • To exclude a file in the data source from being uploaded, select a file from the list on the right and then click Exclude from Upload in the tool bar or right-click the file and then select Exclude from Upload. You are prompted to verify removing the selected file. Click Yes to remove the file from the list. This prevents the file from being uploaded to the vault. It does not affect the actual source data.

4. Once you have selected a folder to upload and you have excluded any unnecessary files from the list, click Next.
