Repair an Installation

If necessary, you can repair the installation of the Vault server.

  1. Open the Microsoft Windows Control Panel.
  2. Locate Vault Basic or Professional (server), right click and select Uninstall\Change.
  3. Click the Repair or Reinstall button.
  4. With Repair as the selection, click the Repair button again.

If the repair doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall the Vault server software. Refer to the instructions in the support article Repairing, Uninstalling and Reinstalling the Vault server software. Please note that you cannot repair the Vault Client.

Note: Autodesk strongly recommends backing up all databases and necessary files before making any changes to the installation of the Vault server.
