Alternative Demand can be updated from CSV files.
The files have to be in an appropriate
format, and may need specific filenames.
Alternative Demand can also be updated from external data sources via
the Open Data Import
Centre.
Updating Alternative Demand from CSV Files
- Right click a checked
out Alternative Demand Set and select Update
from CSV Files from the context menu. This will display the Import CSV Data dialog.
- The dialog allows you to choose a flag to attach
to all the updated data. If a flag is selected, every piece of data which
is allowed to have a flag will be given this flag. Click OK
to continue. This displays a standard Windows File dialog.
- Select one or more CSV files with which to update
the Alternative Demand set and click Open
when ready. The Windows File dialog will be displayed again to give you
an opportunity to add more files to the update. This allows files from
different directories to be selected. Continue choosing files and clicking
Open until you have selected all your files.
To complete the update, click Cancel on the file
dialog.
- Finally, a report is displayed, listing the results
of the update.
Updating Alternative Demand Using the Open Data Import Centre
- Right click a checked
out Alternative Demand Set and select Update
using Open Data Import Centre from the context menu.
This will
display the Open
Data Import Centre.
- Set the import options required. The options are
described in full detail in the Open
Data Import Centre topic.
- Click Import to carry
out the update process.
