To Use a Selection Group

Use a selection group to quickly select a number of objects, for example, before synchronizing modifications to the exported selection of objects.

To save objects as a selection group

1. In Advance Steel, select Home Project Explorer Project Explorer.
2. In the Structures dialog, right-click Groups, and select Create new group from the context menu.
3. Enter the group name.

   The group name displays under Groups.

4. Select the model objects to include in the group, in the Structures dialog, right-click the group name, and select Add elements.

The objects are included in the group.

To select a group of objects

1. In Advance Steel, select Home Project Explorer Project Explorer.
2. In the Structures dialog, under Groups, right-click the group name and click Select elements.

The objects included in the group are selected in the model view.
