To delete a plot, you must delete the individual plot segments. You cannot delete a plot by selecting its area selection label and pressing the Delete key. Also note that if you delete a segment line, the plot as a whole no longer exists even though three of the perimeter lines still exist.
If a plot segment is on a locked layer, you are not able to delete the segment. You must unlock the layer, and then you can delete the segment.
