Regardless of how they are created, plots are defined by closed polylines. All plot line intersections must be closed to create correct topology for calculations of linear dimensions and plot areas. Plots are defined by their boundary lines, and not their area, the space inside the boundary lines. Adjoining plots share plot lines, so if a plot line is deleted, the two previously existing plots become a single plot.
