The following data sets or file types may require special attention when used in Forma Data Management.
Files that must be managed manually:
Requires data to be shared manually and extracted locally:
Files that may cause synchronisation failure:
Use Sheet Set Manager for Web to display and manage sheet sets in Forma Data Management.
A light version of the legacy Sheet Set Manager, the Sheet Set Manager for Web displays and manages named collections of drawing sheets stored in Forma Data Management. Opening a DST file from Forma Data Management opens the Sheet Set Manager for Web by default.
The Sheet Set Manager for Web provides the following core capabilities:

Specifying the working folder of a survey database to a cloud project directory enables existing survey database workflows to support shared ACC survey cloud data.

When you import subassembly PKT files, you can select an option to reference them from their existing location. When you use the Link Directly to .PKT Files option in the Import Subassemblies dialog box, the subassemblies are not copied to the local ProgramData folder but rather remain where they are located (for example, on a LAN or in Forma Data Management). This allows you to keep the subassemblies in one location for all users.
For more information, see To Work With Shared PKT Files and Update them in a Drawing.
For any surface you will create inside a drawing stored in Forma Data Management, it is important that the surface's source LandXML is saved in Forma Data Management prior to importing the LandXML file in a drawing. Once the source LandXML file is in Forma Data Management then it will not create any related data in Forma Data Management.
If your LandXML file is saved on a local drive, it will create a related data folder in Forma Data Management. The workaround to this is to copy the related data LandXML file into a new folder inside Forma Data Management, and then open the surface DWG to re-path the source LandXML to a correct Forma Data Management location, and then you can delete the related data folder.
The best practice is to save source CSV and XML files to Forma Data Management in a source folder.
Any DWT and DWG files that will need QTO will need to be re-pathed to the Forma Data Management source folder.
If you save a drawing that has QTO files pointing to your local drive, it will create a related data folder in Forma Data Management. The workaround to this is to copy the related data files and save them into a new folder inside Forma Data Management, and then on the command line type QTOMANAGER and update the path of your QTO files to point to the correct Forma Data Management location, and then you can delete the related data folder.
Template files of all kinds can be stored in Forma Data Management. It is recommended that a project admin upload DWT files to a Templates folder at the time the project is created.
Reference templates that are already part of a Civil 3D project will automatically be uploaded with their host drawings.
You can use a configuration file to prevent reference templates from being uploaded to Forma Data Management. For more information, see To Prevent Reference Templates from Being Uploaded to Forma Data Management when Using Autodesk Collaboration for Civil 3D.
If you are encountering an issue that drawings cannot be saved to Forma Data Management, it might be due to the existence of BAK files. Using the MOVEBAK command to define a different location for all BAK files can prevent this issue moving forward.
If a cloud drawing can't be saved:
