Alignment Command Reference

The following table lists the alignment-related Autodesk Civil 3D commands and briefly describes their functionality. For more information about a command, follow the link in the Description column.

AeccEnhancedSpiralSampling (System Variable)	Controls the tessellation of alignment spirals. Value Description 0 (Default) Legacy sampling mode. 1 Adaptive method for calculating sample points along spirals. The adaptive method improves the graphical representation of spirals, resulting in higher-accuracy spiral display.
C3D_BestFitAlignment	Creates an alignment that follows the most logical path through a series of feature lines, COGO points, or AutoCAD lines, arcs, points or blocks
ConvertAlignToFixed	Converts an alignment with a curve group to fixed geometry
CreateAlignmentConnected	Creates a connected alignment and associated profile that are dynamically linked to other alignments and their associated profiles
CreateAlignmentEntities	Opens the Create Alignment from Objects dialog box
CreateAlignFromExisting	Creates an alignment from all or part of an existing alignment
CreateAlignmentLayout	Opens the Create Alignment-Layout dialog box
CreateAlignmentReference	Creates an alignment reference in the current drawing
CreateOffsetAlignment	Creates one or more offset alignments and associated profiles based on an existing alignment and profile
CreateRailAlignmentEntities	Creates a rail alignment from selected entities
CreateRailAlignmentLayout	Creates a rail alignment using the Alignment Layout Tools
DesignCriteriaEditor	Opens the Design Criteria Editor dialog box
EditAlignment	Opens the Alignment Layout Tools toolbar

EditAlignmentTagNumbers	Renumbers alignment entity label tags
EditOffsetAlignParameters	Edits the parameters of an offset alignment or widening
HorizontalRegression	Opens the Horizontal Regression Setup dialog box to create an alignment.
RailHorizontalRegression	Opens the Horizontal Regression Setup dialog box to create a rail alignment.
