AutoCAD MEP 2026 Known Issues

This topic contains important information for AutoCAD MEP 2026.

Content Packs

• For stand-alone installations, all content packs are installed by default. The installer does not have an option to select specific content packs for installation. Additionally, there is no option to remove the installed content packs using the Add/Remove Programs feature. Shortcuts for all content pack profiles are created in the Windows Start Menu by default.

Import from Inventor

• Support for Autodesk files has been removed. Consequently, the IMPORTBUILDINGCOMPONENT command has been removed.

Side by Side Installation with Older Versions of AutoCAD MEP

• Uninstalling older versions of AutoCAD MEP (2023 or 2024) after installing AutoCAD MEP 2026 may cause an issue with the Content Browser. If you don't want to keep the older versions on the same machine, uninstall them first before installing AutoCAD MEP 2026.
