DEVICEADD (Command)

Adds an electrical device to your drawing.

Find

Using this command, you can add devices to your drawing. You can assign the device to a circuit, or you can leave the circuit unassigned until you know the circuit to use. You can create circuits and connect them to devices at any time during the design process.

The following prompts are displayed.

Insert point

Specify the point to insert the device.

System

Specifies the system to which the device belongs. The system assigned to the device determines its display properties, and the system assigned to an electrical connector on a device determines the connections that can be made to the connector.

Library

Specifies the library name to select the device from.

Category

Specifies name of the category which the device belongs to.

Style

Specifies the style of the device.

Layout

Specifies layout to insert objects.

  • One by one: specify how you want to align devices.
  • Distance around space: specify distance between devices.
  • Quantity around space: specify number of devices.
Align to objects on

Specifies whether the device must automatically align itself to objects in the drawing.

Justification

Specifies the justification setting for devices.

Wire

Specifies break point on wire objects

Match

Specify a device to match
