To Replace a Fitting

Automatically replaces a corresponding fitting to connect the MEP segments.

You can replace an existing Tee, Reducing Tee, Cross, Reducing Cross, Elbow, Reducing Elbow, or Transition fitting in a duct, pipe or conduit run. AutoCAD MEP 2026 toolset automatically displays a list of parts according to the fitting type, shape, and size of the segments.

1. Select the duct, pipe or conduit fitting. The Duct, Pipe, or Conduit Fitting contextual ribbon tab is displayed
2. Select Replace Replace Fitting.
3. Choose an option from the command line.
4. Depending on what you select, the Choose a Part dialog box displays with the parts you can replace the current fitting with.
5. Select the fitting to replace the existing fitting.
6. In the command line:
   • select Next to move to the next instance of the replaced fitting.
   • select Accept, if you do not want to replace other fittings.
   • select Previous to go back to a changed fitting.
   • select More to display the Choose a Part dialog box.
   • select Undo, to revert the last replaced fitting with the original fitting.
