
Define a set of fonts to be used with the Type tool for your project.
There are two main benefits to using project-based fonts:
List of the project fonts. Click an empty row to add a project font. Click a selected row to replace a project font. Use the buttons below to manage them.
Click to add a project font. The project font is added to the first empty slot.
Click to replace the selected project font with a new one. This causes all the Type tool instances to replace their use of the selected project font with the new one.
Click to clear the selected project font. Instances of the Type tool that are using the font keep using it, but the link to the project font is now broken: the Type tools now use the font path from the file system.
Click to clear all project fonts. Instances of the Type tool that are using these fonts keep using them, but the links to the project fonts are now broken: the Type tools now use the font paths from the file system.
Select the substitute font to be used for characters that are not available in the primary font.
As of the 2026.1 Update, the Change Secondary Font option previoulsy available in the Tools & Timeline FX tab of the User Preferences has been moved here.
