What's New in Version 2026.2 - September 2025

This topic lists all the additions and improvements incorporated in InfoWorks® ICM 2026.2 which were not available in previous versions.

Esri Integration Tech Preview

InfoWorks® ICM 2026.2 introduces a modern 64-bit ArcGIS Online integration that seamlessly connects InfoWorks® ICM with web maps saved on ArcGIS Online.

This enhancement also includes support for local GIS Layers—such as Shapefiles, WMS, Raster, and Esri File Geodatabases—allowing users to bring spatial data directly into the model geo-plan environment and provide valuable context for hydraulic modelling processes.

As part of this Technical Preview, users can also import and export geospatial data to and from Esri enterprise geodatabases, streamlining data exchange and enabling more efficient collaboration between GIS and modelling teams. Please send your feedback to:

Subgrid Sampling Improvement (support of 2D Nodes)

Subgrid Sampling now supports 2D nodes, providing more accurate modelling of water exchange between the 1D collection system and 2D mesh.

Users can now define manholes, gullies, inlets, outfalls, and connect nodes as 2D nodes within InfoWorks networks, and junctions as 2D nodes in SWMM networks.

These nodes simulate surcharge to the 2D mesh and allow reverse flow from surface flooding back into the collection system.

Multiple calculation methods are supported, including weir equations, head-discharge tables, and inlet parameters, ensuring realistic behaviour across a range of drainage assets. Additional options, such as using elevations instead of depths for 1D-2D linkages, help reduce oscillating flows where raised covers or level discrepancies exist.

See Using Subgrid Sampling and Subgrid Sampling Methodology for further information.

If you try our Subgrid Sampling Tech Preview feature, we would really appreciate your feedback before it's officially released.
