Converting Node Types

The Convert Node Types functionality allows a selection of Nodes to be converted to Connection Nodes and vice versa.

This functionality may be of particular use when Importing Networks from external data to convert Connection Nodes that have been imported as "ordinary" nodes.

To convert node types:

1. Select nodes to be converted
2. Choose Selection operations then Convert node types from the Selection menu. The Convert Node Types Dialog will be displayed.
3. Select options from the Convert Node Types Dialog:
   • Use the radio buttons to choose whether Nodes are to be converted to Connection Nodes or vice versa.
   • Use the Node Type dropdown list to:
     • Restrict the conversion of nodes to those nodes of selected Node Type only when converting from Nodes to Connection Nodes.
     • Define the Node Type of the newly converted node when converting from Connection Nodes to Nodes.
4. Click OK to carry out conversion.
