Import Manhole Surveys from BEFDSS XML Dialog

This dialog is used when importing manhole survey data from BEFDSS XML format files.

BEFDSS (Belgian Exchange Format for Drain and Sewer Systems) is a Belgian standard format used for files containing standardised CCTV Inspection Data.

The dialog is displayed when Import | Import Manhole survey data | Import BEFDSS XML manhole survey data is selected from the Network menu.

Import

Select data to be imported:

  • Browse for the XML file to be imported. A standard Open dialog will be displayed. Multiple files may be selected by using the CTRL and SHIFT keys.
  • The flag selected in the Flag for imported fields dropdown will be used to flag fields containing data brought in by the importer.
  • Check the Match to existing records by node reference and employers job reference option to merge survey data into existing surveys.

Generate IDs From

Set option for generating Manhole Survey IDs:

  • Node reference and an index: if the generated ID is longer than 40 characters, the ID will be truncated. An index number will be added to the end of the ID to preserve uniqueness where appropriate.
