Add, edit, display or hide, and switch between driven dimension and normal sketched dimension in Tube and Pipe
After a route is finished, dimensions on the route sketch become invisible by default. Display or hide the dimension visibility for routes as needed. Auto route regions do not have dimensions so no associated dimensions are displayed.
Activate the run.
In the Model browser, right-click a route and do either of the following:
In the graphics window, right-click and select Done, or press ESC to quit the command.
During forward route creation only, when the Auto-Dimension option is checked on the context menu, sketched route segments are automatically created using normal sketched dimensions. It does not affect the route sketch previously created when this option is not checked.
Once a route is finished, sketched dimensions and driven dimensions can be switched using the Driven Dimension command.
In the route environment, if the 3D Orthogonal Route tool is not activated, do any of the following:
In the graphics window, right-click and select the Auto-Dimension check mark.
Define the next route point.
Sketched dimensions are added to the new route elements.
To cancel creating sketched dimensions for forward route sketch, right-click and clear the Auto-Dimension check box.
Continue with forward route creation.
To edit sketched route segments, use the General Dimension or Parameters commands to modify the normal sketched dimensions. They can also be edited in place by double-clicking. As linear and angular dimensions can be placed between the route sketch and reference geometry, use the Include Geometry command to introduce reference geometry as you need.
Activate the route containing the sketched route segment.
Optionally, include external geometry to the route sketch.
In the graphics window, ensure a dimension is selected rather than route sketch. The following symbol should be attached to the cursor.
To modify the linear dimension, bend radius, or included angle, do any of the following:
In the graphics window, right-click and select Done, or press ESC to quit the command.
When you are editing sketched route segments, use the Driven Dimension command to switch normal sketched dimensions to driven dimensions. As required by your design, use normal sketched dimensions to drive the route geometry and use driven dimensions to allow for dynamic updates.
