To Customize the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT)

You can add any number of commands to the QAT. If necessary to accommodate numerous commands, you can dock the QAT under the ribbon. Commands that exceed the length of the toolbar display in a drop-down menu. Commands that you add display to the right of the default commands on the Quick Access toolbar.

The Return command, available only from the QAT, quits in-place editing and returns to the previous editing state, the parent component, or the top of the model

Add or remove commands on QAT

1. On Quick Access toolbar, click the drop-down arrow.

   

2. On the Customize menu, click the command name you want to display on the QAT.

   A check mark next to a command name indicates that it is displayed on the QAT.

Add commands to the Customize QAT menu

1.On the Ribbon, right-click the command to add, and select Add to the QAT.

Relocate QAT above or below ribbon

1. On the QAT, click the drop-down arrow.
2. On the Customize menu, click Show Above the Ribbon, or Show Below the Ribbon to display the QAT above or below the ribbon.
