Manage the display and edit options for weldment folders such as Preparations, Welds, and Machining.

In the weldment assembly tree only one weld folder is active at a time; all other items are shaded in the browser. Use the weldment browser to hide or show Work Features, Notes, Documents, and Warnings and choose to display Children Only, instead of the entire weldment assembly tree.

Change the active weld folder

1. Right-click the weld folder and select Edit. The folder becomes active and commands on the Weld tab are unavailable or activated according to the active folder.
2. On the ribbon, click Return to close the active weld folder and return to the weldment assembly.

Roll back the weldment by feature

In the browser, drag the End of Features (EOF) symbol up the feature tree in the browser to roll back the state of an individual weldment folder. You can inspect weldment features individually.

When rolled back, anything below the EOF node is temporarily not included in the model. When you drag the End of Feature symbol back down the tree in the weldment folder, features are added back into the model.

1. Open an assembly weldment file.
2. In the browser, double-click the Preparations, Welds, or Machining folder to make it active.
3. Expand the weld group to expose the EOF symbol.
4. Click and drag the EOF symbol up the tree to any location in the folder.
5. Repeat for each feature in the folder that you want to roll back.
6. Click and drag the EOF symbol back down the tree to add features back in.

Change the browser view

Use the View menu on the Weldment browser toolbar to configure the weldment browser to perform a set of related tasks. Click the down arrow beside the menu to change to Assembly or Modeling View.

The difference between the browser configuration for Assembly and Modeling Views is:

Assembly

• Assembly constraint symbols are nested below both components that share the constraint.
• Part features are hidden.

Modeling

• Assembly constraint symbols are placed in a single folder at the top of the browser.
• Part features are nested below parts, just as they are in a part file.

Set browser display options

1. Select the Assembly or Modeling View from the menu at the top of the browser to arrange the browser contents according to the tasks you must perform.

2. Click the Filter command to hide the following options or clear the check mark to display them:

   • Hide UCS
   • Hide Work Features
   • Show Children Only
   • Hide Notes
   • Hide Documents
   • Hide Warnings
   • Show Extended Names
