As you move the cursor over the selection locations in an assembly, the HUD provides feedback and cues about each possible selection and, when appropriate, a box for precise input.
The HUD displays when you move the cursor to a possible selection in an active Grip Snap command.
The Grip Snap Options dialog box includes an option to show degrees of freedom for selected components. When selected, the translational and rotational degrees of freedom for the active component or assembly selection are included in the DOF.
The HUD can contain:
Context Menus
The context menu associated with the HUD is available during an active Grip Snap command, except when the move options are displayed. It contains additional options appropriate for the current point in the Grip Snap operation.
Backs out and deselects geometry while keeping the command active.
Cancels the moves and/or rotations that were previewed by Grip Snap and closes the command.
Clears the snap sequence that was preserved in the Grip Snap operation.
Continues the operation the same as a click.
Behaves the same as Done, except adds grounding to components and assemblies that were manipulated in the current session of the Grip Snap command.
Displays the move option icons representing appropriate behaviors for the current selection.
Accepts the Grip Snap translational and/or rotational sequences as previewed by Grip Snap. Validates any pre-existing constraints. Registers the operation in the Inventor history. If any pre-existing constraints are violated, the Grip Snap Constraint Management dialog box is displayed.
Reverses the directional indicator.
Changes the current view to the Home View.
Orients a face parallel to the screen.
