Use positional representations in conjunction with harness assemblies to evaluate the lengths of the harnesses while the associated assembly is in various positions, and to ensure that there are no bend radius violations.
Open a top-level assembly that includes flexible harness elements such as wires, segments, or cables.
In the browser, click the Representations folder to expand.
Create a new positional representation or right-click an existing one (not the primary positional representation), and then select Activate.
The assembly reconfigures and most Cable and Harness features are disabled. The flexible harness objects automatically recompute, changing their shapes or paths to reflect the new position.
Examine the affect of the changes on the harness objects and determine the adjustments required to accommodate the different positions.
Add and adjust harness properties based on the positional representation.
Return to the top-level assembly, activate the primary positional representation, and then make more adjustments:
Return to top-level assembly and continue to activate, examine, and adjust to the affect of different positional representations.
