Provides the means to design and create a gate in the mold design, and to edit or delete gates.

Access

On the Mold Layout tab, click Gate .

Type

Select a gate type from the list and view an image of the gate under Preview.

Select One Point or Two Points.

Gate Location

In the graphics window, select a gate point as the start point of the gate.

End Point

If a Two Points method is used, select a runner sketch point as the end point of the gate.

Rotation

The projection of the gate axis on the XY plane counterclockwise rotation around the origin.

Up or Down side

The two types of gate orientation are the Up side (usually the cavity side) and the Down side (usually the core side). The Up side gate is a mirror of the Down side gate at a plane parallel to the XY plane and passing through the gate point.

Copy to all pockets

Copy the gate to all pockets when there is a layout setting.

Preview

Modify the dimensions of the gate by clicking a cell in the Value column of the table, and then enter a value.
