RTM Cooling dialog

The RTM Cooling tab of the Reactive molding process settings dialog is used to specify the duration of each stage of an RTM process for use during a Cool(FEM) analysis.

  1. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Process Settings).

  2. Click Advanced options, on the Cool (FEM) Settings page of the Wizard, to display the Reactive Molding Advanced Options dialog.

  3. Click Edit next to the Process controller drop-down menu, to display the Reactive molding process settings dialog.

  4. Click the RTM Cooling tab.

Preheat duration

The duration of the preheat stage. The duration can be controlled by a set time, or a thermocouple target temperature above which the preheat stage ends.

Filling duration

The duration of the filling stage after the preheating stage. This duration is used to control the coolant inlet stages when a Fill analysis is not included in the analysis sequence.

Injection + packing + curing duration

The combined duration of the filling, packing, and curing stages.

Cool down duration

The duration of the Cool down stage after curing.
