** ERROR 313512 ** The thermocouple target temperature cannot be reached. Please adjust the thermocouple target temperature, the coolant control or coolant inlet temperature.

Explanation

For a Cool (FEM) analysis, the thermocouple controlled preheating stage can advance to the next stage only when the specified thermocouple node's temperature is above the target temperature. Various reasons may prevent the target temperature from being reached. For example, the coolant temperature in the circuit is low, or the coolant flow is too slow for effective heat transfer.

Resolution

  1. Open the Preheating + Filling Stage tab of the Coolant inlet dialog:

  2. Make sure that the Coolant inlet temperature is higher than the target temperature by a meaningful margin. The target temperature can be checked in the Cool (FEM) Settings page of the Process Settings Wizard.

  3. Make sure that the coolant flow is fast enough. For example, select "Specified Reynolds number" under Coolant control, and set the input to 10000.

Alternatively, you can lower the Target temperature for thermocouple control of Preheating duration in the Cool (FEM) Settings page of the Process Settings Wizard
