** WARNING 2302003 ** The specified cycle time for the cooling analysis before optimization is too short to guarantee a frozen part at ejection for the process conditions specified. The cooling optimization analysis may result in a cooling channel layout that guarantees a frozen part at ejection. If the optimized cooling channels do not result in a frozen part at ejection, increase the specified cycle time. This can be done by doing an automatic cooling analysis first to determine the optimum cycle time to guarantee a frozen part at ejection.

Explanation

The initial cooling channel layout, with its chosen processing conditions, that is provided for optimization does not result in a frozen part at ejection. If the aim of the optimization is to reduce the cycle time, the optimization may result in a layout that provides a frozen part at ejection time. Alternatively, for the aim of the optimization to provide a more uniform temperature distribution across the part for less temperature induced warpage the resulting layout will probably not guarantee a frozen part at ejection. For a part that is not frozen at ejection the cycle time needs to be increased.

Resolution

Perform an automatic cooling analysis on the original model by going to the "Process settings" of the original model and setting the Injection + packing + cooling time option to Automatic. Then using the Edit target ejection criteria option, the Minimum part frozen percentage at ejection value can be set. An automatic cooling analysis performed on the initial cooling layout will result in the minimal cycle time that will guarantee a target frozen part percentage at ejection time. This cycle time can be used as the specified cycle time for the initial analysis provided for optimization. Alternatively, an Automatic cooling analysis performed on the optimized layout will provide the minimum cycle time that guarantees a frozen part, however it is preferable to begin the optimization using the correct cycle time.
