Features no longer supported in the Autodesk Moldflow 2026 releases

A great deal of effort goes into improving the user interface and workflow for each release. Based on customer feedback, technology changes, software security vulnerabilities, and customer usage patterns the following capabilities have been removed from this release.

Support for old Moldflow geometry, project and result data files

The following file formats can no longer be read or written by the Autodesk Moldflow Adviser 2026 or Autodesk Moldflow Insight 2026 products:

Criteria Editor and ability to create (*.criteria) files

The ability to use the criteria editor to create a criteria file (*.criteria) for use in Autodesk Moldflow Communicator products has been removed and is no longer supported in the Autodesk Moldflow Adviser 2026 or Autodesk Moldflow Insight 2026 products.

Quantify Results and support for (*.criteria) files in Autodesk Moldflow Communicator

As the criteria editor is no longer supported in the Autodesk Moldflow Adviser 2026 or Autodesk Moldflow Insight 2026 products the ability to Quantify Results has been removed from the Communicator product.

Note: If you have an existing Moldflow Results File (*.mfr) file which contains an existing criteria file (*.criteria), then this file can still be read and used by the Autodesk Moldflow Communicator 2026 product; however, the option to Quantify Results will not be available.

File support for Animation formats

From Moldflow Adviser 2026 and Moldflow Insight 2026 releases onwards, the following file formats can no longer be written to, or read within the product or Application Programming Interface (API):

Animations included in reports will default to the mp4 formats.
