Workflow: Create Piping Components

Use the Catalog Editor to create a new piping component and add it to a catalog.

Complete the procedures in this workflow to create the piping component shown above.

  1. To Create Piping Components
    You can create a component, specify the piping class and geometry, set size ranges, and add it to a catalog.
  2. To Modify Piping Components in a Catalog
    In a catalog, you can modify component standards, material properties, sizes, dimensions, and connection port properties. You can also add custom components.
  3. To Modify Piping Components in a Spec
    In a spec, you can add or remove component sizes, set component properties, and update it with catalog changes. You can also set new or different properties and descriptions, remove unwanted sizes, and add out-of-range sizes from a catalog.
