The first step of the process workflow is to create and set up a new project.
Create or open a project
When you start Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional, a panel appears, allowing you to open an existing project, or create a new project.
You can open an existing project in either of the following ways:
- Click the thumbnail corresponding to the project that you want to open.
- Click Open project... and navigate to the project location.
You can create a New project in either of the following ways:
- Click the thumbnail corresponding to the type of structure that you want to model.
- Click More... to open the list of available structure types.
Set the preferences
Once your project is open, you can set the Preferences and Job Preferences.
- Click Tools
Preferences to set up the general preferences of the program, such as the language or view parameters for example. - Click Tools
Job Preferences to set up units, materials, and other preferences for your project.
