The current Canadian code NBC 2020 was implemented for seismic analysis.
The implementation includes two methods with updated parameters for analysis and comprehensive analysis calculation notes
- Response Spectrum analysis. See Seismic Analysis Parameters (Canadian Code NBC 2015)
- Equivalent Lateral Force method. See Seismic Analysis Parameters (Canadian Code NBC 2015 - Static)
All the codes are set as default in the relevant regional settings.
To find this new seismic code:
- Click Tools
Job Preferences Design Codes.
The Job Preferences dialog opens.
- Select Loads in the left panel of the Job Preferences dialog.
- Click the Seismic loads drop-down list to see the list of available codes.
