Specify a Render Appearance for an RPC Family

An RPC family is a Revit entourage family created using the RPC Family.rft or Metric RPC Family.rft template files. For these entourage objects, you can specify RPC files to use for their render appearances.

1. Open the Revit RPC family in the Family Editor.
2. Click Create tabProperties panel (Family Types).
3. For Name, select the family type to modify.
4. Click the Identity Data header to display its parameters.
5. For Render Appearance, click the button in the Value column.

   The Render Appearance Library displays.

6. Locate the desired render appearance, select it, and click OK.
7. In the Family Types dialog, for Render Appearance Properties, click Edit.
8. Specify parameters for the render appearance, and click OK.
9. In the Family Types dialog, click Apply.
10. (Optional) Repeat this process for other family types defined for the RPC family.
11. Click OK.
12. Save changes to the RPC family.
